ELLIOTT BAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL is looking for you to join our winning team. We are conveniently located north of downtown Seattle. We are a fast paced, six doctor, AAHA accredited hospital, accommodating companion animals. Our hospital dedicates three Wednesdays each month for an all-staff hospital meeting, continuing education and cross-training for our practice team members.

We are looking for someone who has a caring nature, is very energetic, enthusiastic, positive, has great customer service skills, is compassionate, a team player, has the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

We are looking for a long term commitment only. Please no summer jobs as these positions requires training over several months.

      

Animal Care Assistant  – The Animal Care Assistant takes care of the everyday needs of patients in the hospital and boarding facility. They are also responsible for presenting a clean and odor-free hospital to clients and for maintaining the germ-free status of the hospital. Minimal educational requirement is a high school diploma. Must enjoy working with animals and people and be able to walk and restrain dogs up to 100 pounds. Must have strong client communication skills. In addition, the Animal Care Assistant must be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously, be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted, work on feet for 10-12 hour work day, write legibly, use a computer keyboard, and be able to promptly identify physical health and/or behavioral changes in an animal under our care.

Full-Time position (35-40 hours).
