In addition to the doctors and licensed nurses on staff, we routinely collaborate with board-certified veterinary specialists and utilize services of specialty laboratories throughout the country.
We are also committed to client and staff continuing education on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. As a teaching facility, we host externs from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The Guided Preceptorship Program provides a 4-week practice experience for WSU students. During the 4 week course, the students are tested on their veterinary skills. We look at how they communicate with doctors, staff and clients; their knowledge base, integration, and surgical protocols; general animal knowledge; patient compassion and care; professionalism; technical skills; diagnostic abilities; interpretive abilities and surgical technical skills.
